If you want full control of your operating system, if you want to be able to configure it down to every single process that’s being run, that adds a layer of complexity that initially might take up a lot of your time. If you only focus on price, trying to spend as little as possible, then you’re going to run into quality control issues or limitations on the longevity of that device. This is what I tell people, with the simplicity of use, comes a lot of limitations in how you can configure your setup. Some operating systems are very easy to use out of the box, and some are a little bit more difficult. I’m very familiar with the pros and cons of each operating system, the pain points that do exist, the learning curve that can eat up a lot of your time when you’re going from one operating system that you’ve been using for years, and then trying to do the same thing with another operating system.
